Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Applying Amelia to a new business model

I'd like to have some help applying Amelia to a tutoring business use case. There are at least two scenarios that I'm not sure the best way to apply the relationships provided by Amelia.

How might we use Employees (Tutors), Categories, Services, Packages, and Resources to automate most of the functionality of matching students to tutors and then allowing them to purchase time and schedule it as needed or desired?

I'm sure that I can be creative but understanding the underlying principles of the database that supports this would help me know if certain requirements were possible or not.

Anyone up to helping me strategize?

    Hello Robert,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. There is no such automated option and this can not be achieved at this time. You can not pair students with tutors based on some data. Student can choose to book an appointment with a tutor only based on the available time and dates that suits them the most and based on that they can automatically or randomly (they have option to choose tutor manually also) get the tutor for an appointment if choose employee fields option is turned off.

What you are looking for is not possible to achieve a t this time I'm afraid and this will require a special development and our developers do not accept personal customization requests at this time but there is a chance that they will start with this in the future. Once and if they start with this we can contact you if you wish.

    Warm regards.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Robert,

Amelia is not a SaaS and this at this time is not possible and we most likely won't develop such automated options in the near future, this is a specific requirement for matching students to tutors. We are sorry and we understand that you are looking for collaboration, but this is not possible at the moment because our developers are working on the redesign of Amelia and on many new features that have been requested by thousands and thousands of other users and those features have priority.

In light of this, we encourage you to kindly consider submitting this valuable suggestion as a feature request through the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/. The prioritization of feature development is greatly influenced by the number of customer requests received. By participating and expressing your support, you contribute significantly to the potential expedited implementation of this feature.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Warm regards.
