we have created custom fields, and as per design of your app events have to be assigned manually to them.
For a customer I wanted to create the role Amelia Manager. Unfortunately, the Amelia Manager DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS to the custom fields to assign i.e. terms and conditions to an event to be accepted before booking.
And I do not want to give the customer Wordpress admit rights for this.
Amelia Manager and Customer roles don't have access to the settings and custom fields tab.
The “Amelia Manager” role has almost the same permissions as an “Administrator” role but with a few important differences. A manager is allowed to hide but not delete anything; a manager cannot customize the front-end look of the plugin and doesn’t have access to the WordPress settings and Custom Fields.
WordPress Administrator is the user who has all the plugin’s permissions. An administrator can create services, locations, customers, employees, and appointments, and permanently delete or hide all entries. He can also customize the look of the front-end of the plugin, so it matches the website of the company. As an admin, one can also make changes in all WordPress settings and change the roles for the other users.
Unfortunately, there is no other way than assigning the admin role in order to see the Custom Fields.
I hope we cleared a bit, but please let us know if you have any other questions.
I know all of that you wrote. However, this seems not be thought trough well. As long as events have to be assigned to custom fields (and not vice versa), the manager or employee should have the right to assign them without having the wordpress admin role. Otherwise custom fields do not make any sense. So, this is very disappointing (all the more I always got a "not possible" in my support requests so far). I think to grant custom fields access rights to the role at least of the manager should be a piece of cake. Do I really have to submit a feature request for this?
As Stefan is currently on vacation, I will fill in for him.
At the moment, this is how it works, but I will have this checked with our developers to check if this was intended this way and will let you know as soon as possible.
