Spa has treatment rooms. They need Room management (what appointment goes to what room). Maybe using Resources?
Our plugin currently supports time slot booking during one day, so if it is just renting of co-working space for a couple of hours a day, then it is possible to use our plugin for this. If, however you need multi-day booking then you should check out our new feature Events.
You can either create rooms where services are and create an employee for each room (a different one, so they can be bookable at the same time) and hide the employee selection with a simple CSS (we will explain later on ) or you can create each room as a separate employee and create just one service to attach to each room. Just so you know each employee needs to have an email, so if you don't need a separate email for each you can create Gmail or outlook the same email with +number, and they will be seen as a different one (a would later explain you this in more details, but you should know that you need to use Gmail or Outlook).
If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours). That is the reason why I offer you two other workarounds: rooms as services but with several employees hidden from the front end, or rooms as employees with one service.
They have partners. When a partner books an appointment for a customer, it must be color coded? Like expedia red, hotel.com green etc.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
Will be able to have forms on client records?
I'm afraid we don't quite understand this question. Would be able to elaborate a bit more?
Marketing emails and SMS directly from WP Amelia?
Amelia only has email notification and SMS notification option that can be configured only when an appointment/event is scheduled. Certainly, you can make a custom notification using the Cron function, but this is related to appointments/events scheduling.
I was referring to the actual client entry itself. For example there is a repeat customer and would like to have some notes like preferred employee, likes and hates etc
see if you can find useful Amelia's feature called "custom fields".
The Custom Fields feature gives you the option to add more fields to your booking form so as to customize it to best match your business needs. The customer’s first and last name, email address, and phone number are there by default, but with the Custom Fields feature you can add extra fields if you want to ask a customer a question, collect additional personal details, or for any other reason. For appointments, these fields will appear on the Booking form under the default fields, and once your customer fills them this information will be shown in the appointment information on the back-end.
As for the events, custom fields will be shown in the same place on the front-end booking form like for the appointments, but when it is about the back-end the place for the custom fields is different and you will find them when you open the Attendees list and click on any attendee. Once you click on the attendee on the list you will see an option “Edit attendee” and by clicking on that option the custom fields will show up.
When a customer enters the information on the front end using a custom field, that information will show up in the appointment detail.
I hope i cleared a bit, but let us know if you have any other questions.
Custom fields are very useful but it goes only one way. For example an Attachment field. I cannot upload an attachment, and the customer can. I need the opposite. I need to be able to upload documents to the client. Is there a solution for this?
I solved the Rooms management problem i had with Resources. Each Room can accommodate specific services, and there are 4 rooms in total. Each room resource is unique so it cannot be double booked. The only thing i need is in the calendar or appointment view to be able to see which Resource(room) the appointment is using. Is there a solution for this?
Sorry to disappoint you, but currently there is no option to upload the documents to the clients.
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, to see if someone may have already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
When it comes to the calendar, there is only an option to control the time period in order to see the appointments, but there is no calendar or appointment view to see Resources. Feel free to suggest this as a feature, as well.
Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Sorry to hear that Amelia isn't the right fit for you. We are listening to the user feedback and we always improving user experience based on the feedback. Regarding the first part, i can check to see if there is a possible workaround.
What actually got the client to decide she wont go with my solution(Amelia) is the room management. As i said earlier i fixed this problem with the Resources. But Employees need to see in which room their appointment is in order to attend. This is the real problem, you cant see where a resource is used at any given time either on Appointment View or in Calendar View. For example if it was added automatically to the notes section or anywhere else on the Edit Appointment View.
I was referring to the first part regarding the upload attachment, but both features need to be added to the planning list to be implemented in future updates. We are doing our best to implement all the missing features.
In case you have any other questions, please, feel free to ask.
Hello. A client wants a website for a spa and the following is a list of functionalities they want but im not sure if its possible to be done.
Thank you.
Hello Ilias,
thanks for reaching out to us.
Please, find the answers below

If your employee email address is [email protected] you can make more employees with the same email by adding numbers like [email protected],[email protected]... )
And then you can use the ameliabooking shortcode and on the front-end, you can hide with CSS dropdown with Employees.
You can use this CSS rule on the page between style tags where you will hide Employee dropdown:
If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours). Thank you for the detailed reply.
What i meant was if there is a way to add notes on customer's record.
Hello Ilias,
when adding an appointment from the backend, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you will see an option for the internal note.
If a customer books an appointment from the front, then you can click on edit appointment and you will get the same option.
I hope you will find this useful. Please, let us know if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Good morning.
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately this is game breaker for the client and can't use Amelia now.
I will add these for suggestions, specially when it comes to client management which is poor in amelia.
Thanks again.
