Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Cancellations & Refunds with Stripe

Hi, my client would like to buy the pro version of the WP Amelia plugin but first we need some clarity on the Refunding feature.

    1. If you use a Stripe integration, and a customer has already paid for a recurring appointment for the next month (e.g. a weekly music lesson on Thursdays - they pay for all lessons up front), and the Stripe payment already transferred to a bank, how does the refund work? Does that money pull back out of the bank, into Stripe, back to the customer card automatically?

    2. Can a customer cancel a specific appointment from batch of recurring appointments? E.g., can they cancel the third lesson specifically for a partial refund matching the value of that single lesson?

    3. Are there any official docs on the refund feature? I see that it is new.

    Hello Austin,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1. When the refund occurs from Amelia, the money goes back to the customer's card automatically.

    2. At the moment, only the full refund can be issued, as there is no partial refund option at the moment.

    3. Using the “Refund” button at the bottom of the “Details” window, you can initiate a refund that will be processed through the online payment provider used to pay for the appointment/event.

Once you click it, Amelia will ask you to confirm this action:

After the refund has been completed, the status of the transaction will change to “Refunded”.

    Please note:

The Refund feature is included only in Pro and Developer license plans

When using Mollie as a payment gateway, payments collected via payment links through emails or the customer panel cannot be refunded through Amelia because it is not possible to collect the transaction ID from Mollie once payments are processed through the “Payment via Link” option.

    Kind Regards,
