I want to recreate a booking product I have in another system in Amelia. The product is setup like this:
Game night in Schools
Availability: Weekdays between 17-19
Only 1 booking per day (at the moment)
Each booking is 1 hour plus 30 minutes travel buffer to and from (for when I can take 2 bookings per day)
Per booking, the customer needs to select how many children are in the class: 1-29 or 30-39.
The price is dependant on the selection: 21.500 kr. or 28.000 kr.
Name of school
Name of class
There are no individual teachers related to the booking. Of course there are teachers, but I don't want to have the decision of who made in the booking system. That is handled manually by our event organizer.
You should be able to set this up with Amelia. The only thing is that service work hours and days are tied to employee work hours and days. But since you do not want to set a specific employee you can create a generic one called teacher for example and then you can manually assign teachers to those bookings.
You can buy our license and try Amelia out. We offer a 15-day money-back guarantee, and in that period of time, you test everything and see if Amelia fits your needs.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask.
While I am having Amelia set up on my staging site for testing, I have a follow up question: Can I have the "teacher" chosen by default — maybe also hidden?
The reason for my question is: we foresee the possibility to offer two bookings per day which, I assume, would need two "teachers". With no obvious reason to select between the two, I suspect showing that selection would confuse my customers.
With two versions of the same service, would using Category to combine them into one selection be the correct way to implement this?
Example:
Category: School Game Night
Service: 1-29 children
Service: 30-39 children
Assuming the picture I paint above is correct, I will have to think about each of our booking products as a category, and then add services to that — even if there is only one service for that category. Would that be a good/normal setup in Amelia?
(I am aware that I might be overthinking this, but that is how I roll.)

Hi Marko, thanks for clarifying.
Hello Thorlakur,
You can hide the employee choice in customize section if you wish easily like this
Hope this helps.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards,

Also, I am still unclear how to solve:
It seems like I will need to purchase the Pro version to fully, so I want to be prepared before I dive in.
This was very helpful, thanks Marko.

Hello Thorlakur,
Yes this is the setup that we had in mind
This is personally I think the best option for you at this time.
We wish you all the best.
