I was going through the demos of Amelia and i am quite interested with the plugin. However i had a full questions :
1. Is the plugin fully compatible with woocommerce ?
2. I have activated woocommerce in one of your demos and i had done a test. It shows a woocommerce order id but i can't see any appointment for this order in the appointment section. Can you please advise how is it synchornized?
3. I wanted to know if it was possible to do room reservation with the plugin ? Does it have a separate interface or is it considered as an appointment.
Can you please help to clarify the above questions.
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your patience.
1. Amelia is fully compatible with WooCommerce. You can read more about this integration at the following link.
2. When the appointment si booked through WooCommerce, there will be both an order and an appointment created at the same time.
3. Our plugin currently supports time slot booking during one day, so if it is just renting of co-working space for a couple of hours a day, then it is possible to use our plugin for this. If, however you need multi-day booking then you should check out our new feature Events.
You can either create rooms where services are and create an employee for each room (a different one, so they can be bookable at the same time) and hide the employee selection with a simple CSS (we will explain later on ) or you can create each room as a separate employee and create just one service to attach to each room. Just so you know each employee needs to have an email, so if you don't need a separate email for each you can create Gmail or outlook the same email with +number, and they will be seen as a different one (a would later explain you this in more details, but you should know that you need to use Gmail or Outlook).
If you create just one employee and rooms as services, that means that rooms will not be bookable at the same time, since there is just one employee that is working (one employee/rooms one working hours - multiple employees/rooms multiple working hours). That is the reason why I offer you two other workarounds: rooms as services but with several employees hidden from the front end, or rooms as employees with one service.
Please check the following explanation on how to set this up:
The first thing you need to do is to install the WooCommerce plugin on your WordPress website if you already haven’t done that. After you finish the installation process go to the “Settings” page in the Amelia Booking Plugin, open the “Payments” settings modal, and enable the WooCommerce Service toggle. Once you enable the WooCommerce service option, other payment methods will be disabled since WooCommerce supports the same payment methods.
Once you’ve enabled the “WooCommerce” option, a WooCommerce product will be created automatically, and a new section in your WordPress panel will appear below WooCommerce named ‘Products’. These ‘Products’ provide the necessary connection between WooCommerce and Amelia. It will not however be visible to your customers. The default product name is Appointment, but you can change it by going to the “Product” page, clicking on the product, and changing its name.
It is possible to hide WooCommerce Cart if the price for your service is $0. You just need to enable this option in Payment Settings on the Settings page just below the WooCommerce option.
In the “Default page” dropdown you can choose between “Cart” and “Checkout”, meaning you can select if you want to go through the Cart or just the Checkout page when customers are redirected to WooCommerce from the Amelia booking page.
In the “Redirect Page” option you can choose which page customers will be redirected to after they finish their booking successfully. If you select the “WooCommerce Thank you page”, your users will stay on the last page of WooCommerce, and if you chose the “Amelia Add to Calendar page”, your customers will be redirected to the Congratulations page in Amelia, with the option to add their appointment or event to their calendar.
Please note: "Hide WooCommerce cart when the price is 0" option is disabled by default.
It is possible to set different WooCommerce products for different services and events. By default, all services/events are connected to one WooCommerce product, but if you create multiple products you will be able to choose a product that will be connected to each service/event.
Once you enable WooCommerce as a payment method, go to the Services page, open one of the services and you will see a Settings tab. When you choose this tab you will see the option “Select WooCommerce product” where you can choose a product that will be connected to this service. The same applies to Events. This way, you will be able to set different taxes and other WooCommerce options for each product and each service/event in Amelia.
After setting the product, you can set the Tax and/or invoice option, or if you don’t need either of these options, you can start using the WooCommerce payment methods.
Most WooCommerce payment methods should work with Amelia without issues, but we cannot guarantee that all of them will. If you're having issues with the payment method that you're using, please feel free to reach out to our support and we'll do our best to help.
You can change the display of the cart and checkout pages on the Amelia/Settings/Payments page. The name of that option is "Set MetaData and Description".
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Is it possible for customer to book multiple slots at a time ?
However once a slot is booked, it can't be bookable again.
For example if i book 08:00-09:00 and 09:00-10:00 at the same time. The next time it shouldn't be bookable. But in one order i can have multiple timeslots.
Unfortunately, there is currently no such option with Amelia's built-in features. You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
Additionally, i wanted to know if a room is not available for a whole day. Is there a possibility to block the time slots for the whole day it in the backoffice ?
At the moment, all of the appointments created from the back-end will be treated as on-site payment and there is no option to create a WooCommerce order along with it.
In regards to your second question. For this purpose, you can add the day off for the employee on the Amelia/Employees/Days off page.
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I should book the room for the whole day as afterwards there is an invoice sent to the person who has booked the room. so, i can't put day off the that employee.
Thank you for your patience and for clearing that up.

I will respond to each of the points in your query.
1. Yes, you can add this with the custom fields option.
2. What details would you like to be shown exactly in the payment summary?
3. This could cause a double booking but only if the bookings were placed at the exact same time (I am talking about milliseconds), otherwise, the second one will be blocked from booking an appointment.
4. This will be implemented soon as part of the cart feature in Amelia, but it is currently, not possible.

If you want to put custom fields before the "First name", "Last name" and those other fields, there is currently no such option, but you could reorder the custom fields themself by ordering them on the Amelia/Custom fields page.
Additionally i wanted to know when i create a manual appointment, the time range is not reflecting to the time slots i have defined in the employee work hours.

2. For this purpose, you will have to disable the "Enable Customer Panel" option on the Amelia/Settings/Roles/Customer page.
3. Most likely in your backend option "Allow admin to book appointment at any time" is enabled (Amelia - Settings - Role Settings - Admin), since you have this option enabled, you can book at any time (working hours, special days and days off for all employees will be ignored).
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

It probably can be done with some custom work, but our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for custom work in the near future.
But we can recommend this service for customization:
Create a room with a calendar which can be booked by several users. However, I am having an issue. If user 1 book the room for the 16th of December from 07:00a.m to 08:00a.m the room is successfully booked, but if user 2 try to book for the exact same date and time, the slot is still available for him to book which is an issue.
Please find below screenshots that may help you understand the issue I am facing.
Screenshot-14 is where the slot has already been booked by user 1 and is no more available. Screenshot-16 is the exact same room, but the slot is still available for user 2 after being booked by user 1
Hope you are doing well. I am facing another issue, would appreciate it if you could please help me regarding this issue.
When user1 books a room1 for 31 January 2024 from 09:00 to 18:00. It is making all other rooms unavailable for this period of time also, even though I have not booked any other room except room1. For example room2 also will be unavailable to book for the same date and time for another user. Which means two different users cannot book two different rooms for the same date and time. If you could please help. Thanks.

You can use this CSS rule on the page between style tags where you will hide Employee dropdown:

Hello Jeeya,
Thank you for reaching back out to us.

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
I had a question on the payment section.
I want to use woocommerce to create orders in the backoffice.
However, my customer will not pay online. They will only book for the appointment and they will pay me directly.
I would like to know how do i do to skip the payment part in the calendar.
Can you please advise ?

1. Is it possible to add additional fields in the section Your Information ?
2. Can we have the details of the booking in the Payment summary?
3. What happens if two people place the bookings at the same time ?
4. Is it possible to add 2 dates while making a booking with different timeslots ?
5. Can we limit the country to Mauritius only?

Hi Uroš,

Please find below screenshots that may help you understand the issue I am facing.
Screenshot-14 is where the slot has already been booked by user 1 and is no more available.
Screenshot-16 is the exact same room, but the slot is still available for user 2 after being booked by user 1
Glad if you could help with this issue.

Hi Uroš,
Hope you are doing well.
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Hello Ramon,
To keep better track of tickets and issues, can you please create a separate ticket for this issue and I will assist you with this?
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic
