I'm experiencing a lot of issues lately with the Amelia Plugin. The first incident I'm experiencing is that whenever a customer plans an appointment, whether they make a WordPress Account or not, they sometime(s) do get the verification in the mail and most of the time they don't. We have had a lot of customers tell us that they didn't receive a verification in the mail.
The second problem is that whenever a customer DOES get the appointment the .ICS file that is attached to it shows the good time, but te time in the message shows the wrong time.
The third problem is that sometime(s) customer even do get the subject of the mail they receive in english (am or pm)
What am I doing wrong here? Is this something that is known within Amelia? Anyone.
Are you using the SMTP settings? We strongly recommend changing mail service setting to SMTP or Mailgun because email that is sent with PHP Mail generally gets flagged as spam by mail servers and also can take some time to send.
Regarding the problem with the wrong time, please check if the timezone is properly set.
In the main WP time zone, on the settings, if you have set a fixed UTC time zone, we strongly recommend switching to a City that is the closest to the same time zone, to avoid any issues between back-end and front-end times.
Please check out more details explained about using time zones in Amelia on this page. Time Zones with Amelia
The main summary is :
When you select the city you're in, in WordPress' General Settings, the system automatically calculates the Daylight Savings Time, and shifts the clock accordingly, so if you have any issues with what you see on the front-end vs what you see in the back-end, always check the Time Zone in WordPress.
And with this new feature to set employees time zones; we also recommend picking a city, rather than a fixed UTC time zone, to avoid any issues.
Important to note : for employees as well, it will only show their time zone when they log into the employee panel; otherwise on the back-end, it will always show your WordPress time zone.
Please, check this, and if it's not working, we will continue to troubleshoot.
