Is there a way to configure an event to which people participate each week all year long? It is not a recurring event as such since people will attend each week. I currently use the multi-day feature but the issue with this is that I have to constantly update the dates of the event otherwise people get a notification with a starting date corresponding to the one I set in the event, and that is immediately obsolete.

What I’m looking for is a way to configure an event that is a kind of yearly subscription, without having to maintain manually the dates.

    Hello Isabelle,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

It is possible to set that customers are added to 10, 50, 150 events in one booking, but only if you set it as a recurring event. In this way once they book the first appointment they will be added to all recurring events. We understand that you do not use recurring events but at this time you can only achieve this with this option if you want the process to be automatic so that you do not have to change this manually like you are doing it at this time.

Hope this helps in some way.

Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Marko,

    Thank you for this answer.

I haven't been exhaustive in the explanation of my issue: I hold weekly classes where people can join any time during the year. The only constraint I've put to this class is the number of people. These classes are held on the same day every week, at the same time.

If I create a recurring event, first of all ALL the dates are showing up on the front end, which is nor user-friendly nor desirable when I have other events on my website. Second, if I cancel the event, people get one cancelling notifications for each date of the event! that's not manageable for them. Third, if anyone joins during the year, they'll get a booking notification with the first date of that event, which is in the past since the event has been created before they subscribed.

What I need is a recurring event that shows the date as "every Monday from 7pm to 10pm" (for example) and that sends a notification to anyone signing up with the date of the first following Monday.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello Isabelle,

Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. This is how it works at time. We can try 2 possible solutions

    1. You can show only one event at a time and then just change the shortcode when needed this is perhaps a little less work then your current solution

You can try that with this shortcode

    1. [ameliaevents event=1] if you want to show only the event with ID 1 without its recurring events,

    2. We were wondering why you are not using services instead of events? If you offer this each Monday you can just create a service and employee that will will work on Monday on this service at 7pm to 10pm and only this time slot will show on Mondays. And this you need to set up only once and your customers can see the booking for the whole year for example and they can choose on which Monday on which month they want to attend.

Personally the second solution I think is better for you, but of course the choice is yours.

    Hope this helps.
