I am trying to work on a booking system using Amelia for a driving school, and wish to use the step-by-step forms. However, I am hitting a wall. Our 'services' take place over an entire week, or two entire weeks, and need to take place concurrently (e.g Mon-Fri). However, when I am adding a 'service', the longest duration I am able to add is 24 hours.
How can I get this set up so that people can book a service over a week, and this be shown on the step-by-step form correctly?
the plugin cannot be used for multi-day bookings. It's currently limited to appointments and services with fixed durations that cannot go over into the next day.
The best you can achieve is you can use packages of services and you can offer for example 10 appointments and each can last 24 hours. You can also use the recurring appointments option. You can read more about both of these options on these two link
Hope this helps and also I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this link https://features.wpamelia.com/
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
If I was to set up each Driving Lesson day (8 hours) as a Service, and then only show Packages (of 5 days together), how could I ensure that these are booked in consecutive days? A 5 day course needs to be Mon-Fri, so I would basically need to show availability for Mondays, and one date selected would apply to the whole package. How could I go about doing this?
Could I show available 'blocks' of dates?
The issue with using events unfortunately is that there are multiple staff members, so every 'event' shows multiple times, and generally is a horrid user experience: https://emeralddrivingacademy.net/book-appointment/ - As you'll see here, this gives 31 options per day - no way a user will understand how to navigate that.
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. There is no way in Amelia where you can force your clients to book in 5 consecutive days. If you sell packages customer can book on any available day and time slot that you may have. What you are trying to achieve is not possible at this time. You can offer recurring appointments and in this way they can book in 5 days in a row but also there is no option where you can force them to choose this and and to book 5 times in a row.
We took a look at your link and events and we can agree that it is not looking perfectly but what you want to achieve is not possible at this time and your best bet is still with events because you want to force the clints to book in 5 days in a row and this is possible only if events lasts 5 days.
Perhaps event list form is a better solution for this personally I thisnk that it will look better then the calendar.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
