We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I have a client who already has an iOS and Android app where the data is coming in from a Google Cloud DB (not Google Sheets) and wondered if WP Data Tables can accept this to display the data on his WP site

Hi Adam,
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

I am not 100% sure if you will be able to connect to that particular Google Cloud DB,
but we have this feature you can try in order to test adding a remote/external Database connection with our Plugin,
we will elaborate more on how it works.
You can connect the plugin to almost any MySQL, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL database using the Separate DB Connection section in wpDataTables,
if you correctly input the details for the connection.
You first have to check if you have the following drivers installed, and activated.
These drivers need to be installed and activated on the server where your WordPress website is.
After you install and activate those drivers, it should work.
If you're not sure how to install the drivers, please reach out to your hosting provider.
The server to which wpDataTables is connecting has its own method of establishing the connection, and we're using PHPs logic of connecting to separate connections.
If there are errors your server returns, those are returned by the server, and only displayed by wpDataTables
- there's no additional log within wpDataTables that would distinctively show you what's behind the error.

You can actually test the full features of our plugin, and test your remote DB connection on our Demo sandbox on this link,
if it is on a live server ( if it is localhost, then It can't be accessed)
and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period, So if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period. ( same goes for all plugins and add-ons)
Let me know how that seems,
and of course we will be here to provide as much advice as possible along the way, if you choose to try our Plugin.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Adam,
sorry about that, i actualy found some old tickets from our Support,
and i can confirm that we had users who claim they have successfully connected our Plugin to pull data via SQL Query based Tables,
and they stored the data via Google Cloud Database.
One of the users said they used a PostgreSQL through a Google Cloud Database,
so i just additionally want to share something, in case if that will be the case with your scenario.
Here is something that might help for PostgreSQL connections :
If your PostgreSQL is installed on Ubuntu 18.04 server, and you’re receiving the following error:
“wpDataTables could not connect to postgresql server. postgresql said: There was a problem with your SQL connection – could not find driver”
You may need to install PGSQL driver by following these steps:
Then uncomment pgsql and pdo-pgsql extentions in php.ini and restart Apache with the following command:
I hope this helps.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
