We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hey there;
I was wondering if its possible to attach a custom field to an Extra instead of to a service as a whole. For example, creating a booking system for a home cleaning company. They need to know how many rooms to wash the walls for (for calculating the price and duration) but they also need to know which rooms to wash the walls for - which we need the note for.
There's a number of other examples in this same scenario, where the extras need the information more than the service as a whole. How could I make this happen with Amelia?
Cheers
Allen
Hello Websavers Inc,
thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the late reply.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to attach a custom field to an Extra. You can attach custom fields to Services and Events only.
You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
You can use Extras for calculating the price and duration in order to give an option to the customers to select how many rooms, but if you add custom fields at the end of the booking form, you can select if it going to be required and customers can add the note which rooms. There are different types of custom fields, see if you can find it useful.
Please, let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
