We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I have created a simple table in MySql and created a WPDataTables table to read it. When I try to create a calculated column, in the Formula Editor, when I hit Preview or Save it hangs up and never returns. I have to refresh the page to get control back and there is no calculated column. I think I'm following exactly the same steps as in the instruction video. Please suggest how I can fix this. Thanks!
P.S. WPDataTables is fantastic!

Hi Clayton,
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

We are not able to reproduce the Formula issue on our end.
I tried with a Manual Table, MySQL Query based, and linked with data source;
but we can't replicate it, it seems to be a specific issue perhaps with a specific data set, or maybe something on your installation.
Can we take a look at the back-end of your table?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
And point me to the Table ID, please.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Miloš,
Thank you, I really appreciate your support.
As an aside I'd like to mention one other thing: if the first n columns are fixed AND you have a summation row displayed at the bottom, when you scroll to the right the first n columns of the summation row do not stay fixed. They scroll to the left beneath the rest of the rows in the first n columns, which do not scroll. It's not a problem for me, and I imagine you are aware of it, but just in case I'm letting you know about it.
Clayton
Hi Clayton,
my apologies again for such a late reply.
Just following up, thank you very much for sharing these findings with us.
I am sending the details to our QA Team, they will do their best to reproduce what you described with the strange scrolling to the left beneath the rest of the rows in the first n columns, which do not scroll,
in a situation where we have the first n columns fixed and have a summation row displayed at the bottom.
If they confirm it as a bug, a task will be created for our developers to build a fix in one of the future updates.
Thanks again, and please don't hesitate to open new tickets if you notice anything else, we truly appreciate it.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
