Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!
TMS
I am testing the plugin currently, and I have it almost the way I want it to.
Everyone should be able to edit the fields, but this does not seem to work on my website, added the URL to this form.
If you click on a row and select edit, I want to change the "Nee" to an "Ja".
But after changing this inputfield, it does not alter my table.
How can I fix this?
I figured this only happens on the tables from GravityForms.
If I create a seperate table which is not bridged with GravityForms it does work (front-end editing).
I created three tables on https://youngsecurity.nl/procent
The first one is a newly created table without a GF form.
The two below are GF based but the front-end editing does not work.
How can I make it work with the GF form?
Hi Henk,
can you tell me do you have any Conditional Logic in any of these Form fields from Gravity's end?
1. If you have Conditional Logic in a field,
At the moment, this is an issue we have for this integration with Gravity Forms when you have Conditional Logic in the Form.
Adding a new row works without issues,
but editing a row which already has a selection on the Conditional Logic can not be properly edited.
At this moment, the new and edit entries are being rendered differently,
so the edit does not populate correctly if it is set to input the entries dynamically.
Our developers are going to refactor this piece of the code, and they will make a new version of that functionality.
It should be finished in one of the future updates.
Sadly we can not say exactly an ETA, but they will do their absolute best effort to resolve this as soon as possible.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
they will make a patch note about it when it's fixed;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
Sorry for this inconvenience.
2. Another thing to note :
-
You can check the full list of limitations we currently have for this integration here.
Let me know if that helps to isolate the issue.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Milos,
Thank you for replying.
I did not have any conditional logic on this form, I simply used two inputfields and one dropdown field.
On the other hand, I did do figure out what went wrong.
It seems if I enable the honeypot within a form the front-end editing does not work anymore. By disabling the build-in honeypot it works again.
Thanks again for replying, it send me to the right direction.
Will also follow the newsletter and changelog.
Hi Henk,
you are right, i was just able to reproduce this,
it only happens on front-end editing, when we enable the honeypot option in the Form
The Table shows the right notification as the row is successfully edited,
but it does not implement the change - the entry stays the same.
-
Or if i try to add a new row - it gives a success message, but the new entry does not get saved in the Table/ and the Connected Form.
-
Only if we disable the option, then editing works on Front-end.
We are passing this to our QA Team,
, and they'll add it to the developers queue for fixing.
They will do their best to build a fix as soon as possible.
We don't have an ETA on when the fix will be available, but please keep a lookout on our wpDataTables changeLog.
It will be stated there during updates which bug fixes have been implemented at each update.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Milos,
Yes, it was indeed only happening on the front-end once honeyput was enabled.
In the back-end I was able to add and edit lines in the table.
Thanks for checking it out.
Hi Henk,
no problem, i can confirm that i reproduce the same behaviour on our Sandbox with Gravity Tables.
Our QA is conducting some tests, and i will let you know if we officially flag it as a bug with the developers.
Thank you.

Hi Henk,
we got confirmation from our developers.
The honeypot anti-spam feature came out after our integration,
so our developers still have not added the compatibility with editing on front-end while the honeypot is active;
A task is made for this improvement, so they will fix it as soon as possible.
We don't have an ETA on when the fix will be available, but please keep a lookout on our wpDataTables changeLog.
It will be stated there during updates which improvements have been implemented at each update.
Thanks again for reporting it,
and of course, please don't hesitate to open new tickets if anything else comes up.

Hi Henk,
I know a long time has passed since we sent the last reply here, but I just wanted to advise we released a new update for the Gravity Form integration, which includes the fix for editing of Gravity tables with the Forms which have the antispam 'Honeypot" option enabled.
So if you update to the latest wpDataTables version and the Gravity add-on version, this will be fixed.
Just ensure to clear the cache of the Site and browser after that.
Let us know if you encounter any issues when updating.
Thank you.
