I am having some issues with the event listing part of Amelia. I am running reoccurring events, they will run every day forever basically, but to start I have entered them for the next year. When someone goes onto my event page, I only want them to see today's event, but also to have a date picker so that if they want to attend another day they can find it. There seems to be no feature for this. To me the list of all these events looks cluttered, and it's not good UX.
I'm aware that there is the calendar view, but when I use calendar view, there is still a list below the calendar, and for some bizarre reason it displays events with the heading "All events from August 1st, to October 31st." It seems crazy that I wouldn't be able to customize this or have the option to not have that list, since it is supposed to be a calendar view.
Am I missing something? The ability to display the next available date, or to even limit how many events should display at any one time, say for example the next 5 events are visible, surely these are basic features? If you can steer me in the right direction here that would be great because as it stands right now Amelia may be completely unusable for my needs.
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. THis is how our booking form are designed because majority of user prefer to show all event the they have. But most of them do not have events that every day that will go forever.
However, there is a possible solution that we can offer you. In general settings there is option called Default items per page
you can set this to 3 for example and only 3 event at a time will appear on your booking page like this
