"You can not be Admin and manager to admin and employee, etc at the same time since this leads to conflict within the plugin. You need to have only one role per user only admin or only manager or only employee. Every role has different permission and if you combine them Amelia can not function properly.
You need to disconnect other roles from that user and that mail and to create a separate user with separate mail for each role and make sure to purge the cache afterward.
After that Amelia should work properly without any issues."

As the only person in my business, I am the Admin (I believe that assignment was likely automatic when I installed Amelia on WordPress?). However, in order to create services, per the documentation, I needed to create an Employee, so I did: also, me. ... But now, I am experiencing issues, and the answer above says it's because I am both Admin and Employee. How do I get around this?
You need to disconnect other roles from that user and that mail and to create a separate user with separate mail for each role and make sure to purge the cache afterward.
So please delete that employee and create a new one with the new mail (you can also just change the mail but if you do not have an appointment it is best to delete it)
Then in WordPress user please check if you have more roles then one
Just delete the other roles if you have any and leave just admin role.
If this doesn't help you will need to change this in the database.
Per a previous private ticket I had (#3427892):

Hello again Laura,
Thank you for reaching out to us.

We wish you all the best.
Have a nice weekend.
