we would like to only enable existing customers to be able to book new appointments and close down bookings for new customers.
We thought that it would be possible to use the customer panel with email link login so that existing customers can book new appointments from there.
However they can only edit or cancel existing appointments.
How can we enable only existing customers to be able to book future appointments? I couldn't find anything in your documentation.
We have already disabled WP "anyone can register" on the site but there is nothing in the booking form of Amelia that says "only existing customers can book appointments"
Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. Amelia does not have this kind of restriction option.
But there may be a workaround you're interested in. Any membership plugin (like MemberPress, or Ultimate Member, etc.) allows you to create pages that are inaccessible to some (for example non-logged-in users). You can also create custom logic, so a user can access this page once a month (for example), but we're not sure about that, since we don't work with Membership plugins.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
