Most of my customers miss the initial email to set up their password, when purchasing their first package with me. When they try to reset - go on forgot password, it doesn't work. No reset email comes through. The only way I managed to sort it, is by completely removing them from the customer's list and adding them again. But ofcourse that's less than ideal as they need to add their details all over again. And I won't know it's an issue unless they come to me directly. Can this be fixed please so the reset password function for customers works. Thank you!
Amelia doesn't have a "Create Password" email. If you see something like this, please note that this is coming from WordPress, not Amelia:
This email is sent if you've enabled the "Automatically Create Amelia Customer User" in Settings/Roles/Customer, and it creates a WordPress user when a customer books an appointment. If you don't want your customers to log into the back-end, you can disable this option since you already configured the Customer Panel.
Now, in Amelia, in order for customers to create a password for their customer panel when they book an appointment, all you need to do is add the %customer_panel_url% placeholder in the "Appointment Approved" and/or the "Appointment Pending" email template. The 1st time they visit the panel, they will be able to configure their password.
When they click on "Reset Password", the "Customer Panel Access" email template is sent. Access Amelia/Notifications, scroll all the way down and make sure this notification is enabled.
If it's enabled, make sure it contains the %customer_panel_url% placeholder and after that, it should work fine.
Also, in order for these emails to be sent, you also need to configure the Email Notifications in Amelia - that's a prerequisite.
