I hope you are doing well! I need help with my online events and I'd like to see if you have any suggestions on how to do it.
I have weekly online events and webinars, the list view of the events is hidden to visitors and only visible under the user role "customer" after they buy a monthly membership in Woocommerce. I know Google Meets or Zoom is not integrated with Amelia events yet, so I decided I'll just create include the link of each event on the description, so people can click on it the day of the event, but then I realized it is not possible to deactivate the "booking" system and people can click on "continue" to make a reservation, even though the event is free (because people already paid for the membership)
How do you suggest I do this? I just want people to be able to visit the events list and click on the Google Meets link to join, and not get confused with having to register for the event.
Otherwise, if that is not possible, how can I send that specific and unique Google Meets link to the attendees once they've registered? (Email Notifications will not work because the link is again, unique)
I'd appreciate it if you can help me with this, it would be great to have a functionality in the future for online events, I have plenty of clients that require that feature.
You can use Zoom with event and you can send automatically Zoom link for each event. Not sure why you think there is no option for this but you can read more about it on these links
Also, you can create a separate specific notification for each event easily just by clicking on create new notification and then choose the event for which this notificaion we'll be sent.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
Sorry for the misinformation you received earlier today in the email. I deleted the comment due to an obvious oversight on our end.
The integration for both Google Calendar/Google Meet and Zoom is enabled for Events.
If the Google Calendar Integration is configured, and the Google Meet integration is enabled in Settings/Integrations/Google Calendar:
And if the employee is linked to his Google Calendar:
Once you create an event, you need to select this employee as the organizer:
(You can also see the "Zoom User" dropdown in the screenshot above)
And it will appear in the Google Calendar, with the Google Meet link generated:
You can also include the %google_meet_url% placeholder in the Event Booked email template in order to send the link to the customer and/or the employee.
I hope this helps, and once again sorry for the disinformation received a couple of hours ago.
I can see that Leyla has been added as an organizer and that you've added the correct placeholders (%google_meet_url_date% and %google_meet_url_date_time% are Event-related Google Meet placeholders) so I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work.
Can we create an employee on your website and test it out?
Thank you so much for looking into this. I disconnected and connected the Gmail account again and now it works, can you please check if everything works for you as well with my employee "Leyla"? I think it was an issue with the Google account.
I created an employee with my Gmail, and it worked, and I also booked again with Leyla's email and it also worked, is weird that it is not working for you. I attached some screenshots of the two events I created (one for each employee) and both worked. I'll see if we can use another Gmail for her account just to make sure that is no that the problem.
Please let me know if you can book the event called "lucas test event" and see if it works for you Thank you!

Hi Marko!
Oh I'm sorry! I totally missed that, does it work with Google Meets or is it only with Zoom?

I'm sorry to say that it doesn't work correctly for me, Lucas:
Something may be wrong with Leyla's account. Can you add yourself as an employee and test?
