We are having issues with two scheduled email notifications:
Event reminder is sent twice to some participants We have an event reminder set for 10:00am (1 day before the course) Strangely, some participants receive the course reminder 2 times, but not all participants either. What could be the reason for this?
Scheduled notification is sent, even if event is canceled We have another scheduled notification (Own notification) which participants receive 1 hour after the event. There are sometimes cases that we have to cancel our events. In this case, participants still receive this mail even though we first cancel the event and then even delete it.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Cron is not Amelia's feature cron is a WordPress feature. You can use cron with Amelia, but setting cron is not part of Amelia's support because it is not our feature. If your cron is not working correctly and you cannot set it up, you need to contact your hosting provider so that they can set up cron for you.
So, for the first issue you need to check that with your hosting provider so that they can check the log and see why this was sent twice. Cron is set on their server.
As for sending the notifications twice we were not able to replicate this and we have forwarded this to our developers so that they can take a closer look. And if they can replicate this in their environment they will work on creating a fix for that as soon as possible.
