Multiple bookings in same time slot

    Hello.

I'm working on a website for a customer, and my client wants multiple bookings per time slot (up to a maximum of 6 people). 6 individuals should be able to order on the same time slot. We have services that goes over the span 2 to 8 hours in the same day.

Example: 1 customer can order an appointment lasting 2 hours (which is my clients minimum amount of hours for their services) from 11:00 - 13:00.
But my client also offers services throughout the day, up to maximum of 6 people. They offer group appointments too, up to 6 people.
They need to be able to fill all 8 hours during a day with 6 people in total.

    Service examples:

Service 1 (Daytime 2 hours) - only for one person.
Service 2 (Daytime 3 hours) - only for one person.
And so it goes up to 8 hours...

    Service 16 (Groups - 2 people, 2 hours) - just for groups.
Service x (Groups 6 people, 8 hours) - just for groups.

    Simply explained:

My client can book up to 6 people all day during a 8 hour workday. But Amelia seem to be limiting it to whoever appointed a service first. So if one client orders a group appointment for 3 people at 11:00 to 13:00, that time slot is then gone for the remaining 3 customers.

How can I change this for single customers and for groups?
I tried setting minimum capacity to 1 and maximum capacity to 6 on service 1 (Daytime 2 hours for single customer), but it didn't work.

    Hello Totto,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There is a couple of things. Firstly you can have group appointments and can accept different bookings from different customers and the time slot will stay available until maximum capacity is reached.

When you offer group classes you need to enable the option "Allow booking below minimum capacity" in Amelia/settings/appointment settings. When this is enabled, multiple customers will be able to book the same time slot, without having to fill in the minimum capacity.

But service times are fixed and if you set that your service last 2 hours then for example you can accept 6 customers every 2 hours and as soon maximum capacity is reached that time slot becomes unavailable and new 6 people can book in the next time slot.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

Hello, Marko. Thank you for your answer.

Problem is, "Allow booking below minimum capacity" is already activated..
A customer (one) already booked an appointment at the 11:00 to 13:00 time slot, and it is unavailable for other customers. So to begin with, it's already fully booked.

In the attachment, you can see that I also put max capacity for the customer. I set the max capacity after the customer had booked their appointment, can that be the issue?
Or does the max capacity only change the amount of people that can join that specific customer to their appointment? Does it change the amount of bookings available for other customers on the frontend?

Thank you for all your help.

    Hello Totto,

This settings you do not need in this case since your capacity is 6 and automatically the maximum number of people that customer can bring is 5.

In any case this means that customer can choose to bring up to 5 people with them but this does not override the overall capacity. So one customer can bring 3 people and a second customer can bring only 1 with them which makes it 6 in total.

We wish you all the best.
