    WHAT I WANT:

    I am trying to set up my couples therapy appointment so that: 

    • Both partners can be on the same appointment for one price.  
    • I want to add the partner to an existing appointment afterward  (if the partner forgot to add their significant other) without increasing the price for that appointment.
    • If only one person books on that day, I need the date to be registered as filled, that is no other person can book for that day.  

    WHAT I HAVE DONE:

    In Duration/Pricing:

    • Minimum Capacity: 1 
    • Maximum Capacity: 2
    • Limit the additional number of people  (unchecked/grey)
    • Show "Bringing anyone with you" option (checked/blue)
    • The price will multiply by the number of people (unchecked/grey)
    • Custom Duration and Pricing (unchecked/grey)
    • Deposit Payment (unchecked/grey)

    WHAT HAPPENS

    When I book the appointment on back end with two partners each individual is charged for the session price essentially doubling the price of the session

    When one person books the appointment, another person is able to book on that date so now two unrelated people are coming for a couples therapy appointment (not good).

    When one person books an appointment and I add their partner the price is doubled with each person charged essentially doubling the price

    As of yet I have not seen anyone try to book with both their self and their partner so I do not know if that works.

    What I have had to do is to make a coupon for the additional person and apply that in WooCommerce to cancel out the double charge.  But that does not cancel out the charge in Amelia.  And the only options I have in Amila are to select paid or partially paid, I cannot cancel the payment.  So I am stuck there.

    MY QUESTION

    It looks like I should be able to get what I want.  What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    • Both partners can be on the same appointment for one price. - You can enable bring someone with you option and turn of the option multiply price per customer
    • I want to add the partner to an existing appointment afterward  (if the partner forgot to add their significant other) without increasing the price for that appointment. - Since this is a group booking you can add it as a separate customer to that appoitnemtn form the backend
    • If only one person books on that day, I need the date to be registered as filled, that is no other person can book for that day.  - This is tricky you can do that but you need to set that your appointment last exactly the duration of your work hours. If you work form 09 to 17 you need to set up that you service last 8 hours. If your service last 4 hours then customer can book twice on 4 hour time slots.
