Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

Hello, I have a problem with the predefined filter. In my configuration, the %VAR1% is used in the predefined filter. In the placeholder section, VAR1 remains empty. Only on the desired subpages, %VAR1% is filled with a value. This works quite well. However, when I edit the table in the backend, my predefined filter seems to be overwritten, and the filter gets cleared. Is there a workaround for this? Regards, Gernot.
Hello Gernot.
Based on your description, I am not able to replicate this.
If I add %VAR1% as a predefined value, editing the table in the back-end doesn't clear that value.
Can you record a video, showing me how I can replicate it?
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hello Aleksandar, I have created and uploaded the requested video for you in this link.

Thank you, Gernot, but I'm not able to replicate that locally (see the screen recording: https://we.tl/t-9gDp9w9Ybd)
Which version of wpDataTables are you using?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi again Gernot.
I see you're still on v5.6.1. Can you, please, update the plugin to v 5.7, purge all the cache and test again?
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hello, I have now manually performed the update as it was not being displayed through the WordPress installation. However, this did not help. After reviewing my tables, I was able to find a connection as to why it sometimes gets overwritten and sometimes not. It appears that when the data is associated with a foreign key, it is being overwritten in my case. Please refer to the attached image for more information.

Hello, after the update to 5.7, the tables with formulas no longer work. They are causing a WordPress error. When trying to add a formula column to a new table, it doesn't execute.
Have you cleared all cache on your site, and in your browser, Gernot?
We've included calculation functions to formula columns, so most likely the cache needs to be completely purged on your server for the new code to kick in.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
