I'm trying to understand if Amelia offers all the functionality I require before purchasing the full version.
How do I block out a period of time in the middle of the working day on an ad-hoc basis? For example I have an appointment at my child's school between 2pm and 3.15pm and am therefore unable to take bookings at that time. What is the option to input this into the back end of the booking calendar and how would I go about it?
Sorry for not coming back to you - yes I was able to get this work, but how do I get the blocked time to show in the back end calendar? At the moment for the user there is no reference to these slots being taken. It would be helpful if they showed up much like appointments do.

Hello Janet,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
For that purpose, you can create a "Special day" in Amelia where you would set up the modified working hours for that specific date.
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards,

Hello Janet,
There should be a different color displayed for that non-working period on the Amelia/Calendar page.
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
