Appointments were appearing as normal in admin until I did a test order. Once I did that all the appointments I had manually added were no longer showing in admin on the calendar or on the appointments pages. The dashboard shows those upcoming today, and the total at the top of the appointments page states the number. As far as I can tell the front end won't let people book slots for these appointments, but I urgently need to get this working correctly since I need to add another manual booking and prevent someone booking that place.
Thank you for purchasing our product, and for reaching out to us.
You probably booked for a customer while you were logged in as an admin. Please note that when you do this in the future you should always do it from the incognito window.
This customer, probably along with a few others, was probably created by you booking an appointment in their stead from the front-end, while you were still logged in as Administrator.
This can happen when the customer has the type set to "Admin" in wp_amelia_users table in the database.
Simply navigate to this database table, find the customer that reported this, and you'll most likely see that the type associated with the user is "Admin". Change that to "Customer", and that's it, The second option is that you can find him in the database in wp_amelia_users you will see that that customer has the same mail like admin in that case you will need to delete that customer.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please feel free to open another ticket.
That is a bit of a bug, isn't it? I guessed it was probably something like that because I was able to log in as another admin user and see the items in question. Surely a simple line of code telling it to ignore the 'filter by user' or something if viewing the admin section would be easy enough to do?
While I am able to make this change in the database, I am a programmer, my customer would not be able to do so. It's probably matter of time before my client makes a test order and has the same issue.
While it is a bug that can be got around, this clearly is a bug and therefore needs fixing. I'll have a look at it myself if you like? Lol. I paid good money for the lifetime license so I need to know that this plugin isn't going to let us down.
This is not a bug, and it is logical that admin and manager do not book from the front. That is way we have developed a back end. So you should advice your clients not to book on the front since there is no need for it. They can book on the backend and if they for any unnecessary reason they book from the front they need to do it from the incognito mode.
We are glad that you have managed to set this up and that now it is working, and Regina the same solution applies to you as well. Please follow it and the issue will be resolved and in order for this not happen again when you book for your customers please book from the backend and if you test the booking form please do that from the incognito mode.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
I was testing that the system was working. If an admin has to log out (or go into incognito mode as you suggest) before placing a test payment, I think that that is something that should be highlighted. I wasted about 2 hours trying to work out why all the other bookings were hidden.
I'm sorry, but your explanation is still not satisfactiary. Why would any developer, by design, set all other appointments to be hidden if you happen to make a booking via the front end? That makes no sense?
At the very least I would suggest adding a warning message on the front end if you are attempting to make a booking while logged in as an admin - I've seen this on another website, though I cannot remember which one. Again, this would seem to quite a simple change to make and one that would stop customers from sending you tickets asking the same questions over and over again.
However, I do hope that this conversation will be of benefit to other customers and save them time.

Hi David,
We have the same problem, bookings are not showing in the calendar, and can not book an appointment from the admin panel.
I hope this issue will be soon ASAP, because this way the reservation cannot work reliably.
