I have a client who originally lives in one city and created a booking, which reflected his correct time zone when he booked a session.
He has since moved cities, and I am creating a booking in the back end for him, but I can't change his time zone.
Can I do this myself in the Wordpress database? I have several clients in this situation, and it is very confusing and they constantly missing appointments. So even if you can't add this feature now, can you at least point me in the right directions where this is stored in the database?
There is an easier way. When clients log in to their profile in customer panel they can easily change their time zone and see their new booking time with one click like this
I also include the time zone placeholder in notifications emailed to them.
I'm assuming that when they log into their profile customer panel and update the time zone then it only makes sense that it will update the notification placeholders in the email as well. Correct?
These are separate features. Amelia watches the time zone that is on their devices. So if they move to a new time zone and if you enable option show time slots in customer time zone they will receive the bookings in their time zone.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
Just for clarification - I want the notification placeholder in their emails to show the new time zone where the client has moved to.
You're saying in order to do this, I just have them update their time zone in the customer panel, and then subsequent notifications will have the new time zone?
No, for new appointments in a new time zone, they will see the appointments in their time zone automatically if the option Show booking slots in client time zone in general settings is turned on.
Hope this clears it up.

I'm talking about notification emails. How can I get the %time_zone% placement holder to display the new time zone that the client is in, if the admin creates the booking in the **back end**.
Yes, if the client books in the FRONT END, my understanding is the %time_zone% will be updated and correct. However, again, I am talking about if the client moves to a different time zone, but the admin creates the booking in the backend, how can I have the email notification placehoolder reflect the client's new time zone.
I hope this makes sense. I don't know how else to make this any clearer.
No, this is not possible. When you book for clients on the backend Amelia can not know in what time zone is your customer and it will book with the time zone that is set on WordPress.
So this is not possible. Only when clients book on the front end the Amelia will follow their time zone that is set on their devices.
This is how it works.

Okay! Great.
And just to confirm...
I also include the time zone placeholder in notifications emailed to them.
