We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
I wanted to add an employee in the Amelia plugin.
Unfortunately, this person already bought one of the products on the website before the start of the collaboration ([email protected]). I read it's not possible to have a user and an employee using the same email address, so I changed the email address of her as a customer ([email protected]), because she uses [email protected] as her working email adress (so it will be very useful for the synchronization with her agenda).
But Amelia still doesn't accept to add the [email protected] for a new employee, even if Wordpress doesn't use this adress anymore. Where do I have to delete an entry in order to be able to add this? I read about a similar problem, and the answer was to submit a ticket (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/i-just-cant-put-the-employee-email/), so that's why I'm writing you today.
I wish you a good start in your week and hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards,
Emma
Hello Emma,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
You, need to delete this customer from your database.
Simply navigate to this database table, find the customer/emplyoee that has this, and you'll most likely see that the type associated with the user is "customer". Change that to "emploee", and that's it,
The second option for me better is that you can find him in the database in wp_amelia_users you will see that that customer and you will need to delete that customer.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please feel free to open another ticket.
We wish you all the best.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]

Hello Marko,
Thank you for your fast reply, I just went in the database (amelia user) and updated the email adress there. And now I can add this employee without any problem because of the email adress!
I didn't know that Amelia was creating another table of users, I was thinking it uses directly the one of Wordpress.
I assumed that you're using the user_id to make the link between the several tables, so changing the adress (instead of deleting the user - what you adviced me but I'd like to avoid it -) shouldn't do a mess somewhere...
Thank you again, and I wish you a good afternoon,
Emma
