I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue related to the Time Zone Option in the Customer Panel of the Amelia plugin.
Recently, a few months ago, the Mexican government decided to cancel the daylight saving time. However, it appears that this change has not been reflected in WordPress yet. As a result, I have been forced to set my WordPress timezone to UTC-6 manually in order to align with my current local time. I have attached some screenshots for reference. Please see pictures attached
The problem arises when a customer accidentally selects "America/Mexico City" in the Time Zone Option (Customer Panel), as it automatically adjusts the by one hour, assuming that we are currently observing daylight saving time, which is no longer applicable in Mexico, as I explained earlier. This has caused confusion among our customers, as most of them are not familiar with WordPress settings.
Therefore, I would like to explore possible solutions to prevent the "Time Zone Option" from appearing in the Customer Panel or to make it purely informational without allowing customers to modify the default time zone. I understand that there is no configuration option available for this purpose. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with a CSS code that can be applied to achieve this.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you and resolving this issue promptly.
Following with this issue I think that the solution that you can give me will also help us in order to prevent (already happened) that for mistake a customer chose Africa or other country and they come to our pilates studio in other time (when thy really don´t have appointments or when we are not open). So it would be ok if they cant change the default time zone to see their appointments in their customer panel.
Amelia follows the WordPress time, so there's nothing we can do about their issue. However, I double-checked the time zone on my local WP installation, and I'd say WordPress fixed this:
It's 6 hours behind UTC. Which version of WordPress are you using?
Anyway, you can add this CSS to the Customer Panel page and hide the Time Zone drop-down:
Thank you very much for your kind answer Aleksandar.
It is very strange. I am using wordpress 6.2.2.
I have just tried again with Mexico City and it appears using daylight saving time (in wrong way). Do you know how can I fix that? I know that is not Amelia Problem.

Hello
Following with this issue I think that the solution that you can give me will also help us in order to prevent (already happened) that for mistake a customer chose Africa or other country and they come to our pilates studio in other time (when thy really don´t have appointments or when we are not open). Hello Carlos.
Let me know if that helps.

See attached images.
The correct time now in Mexico is 14:39
But your code works great!
Thank you!

Hey Carlos.
The only thing that comes to mind is this:
I have v6.2.2:
But you have 6.2.2.-es_ES.
I can test it out locally, or you can try replacing that with the default installation file found on WordPress' official website.
If you want me to test it on my end, please send me the installation file for wordpress-es_ES please.
