I am setting up Amelia for a customer who has a company HTML email template and wants that used for the notification emails. I've added the template with the appropriate content for the notification type under the HTML tab, but then one of the following happens:

    1. If I click the Text tab, the additional HTML is stripped automatically and template is no longer there. Additionally, this sometimes destroys the basic layout of the message itself.
    2. If I do not click the Text tab and click Save, and then send a test email or I do a test booking, the template is fine, but all the <p> elements have been stripped from the content, and all the information is located in one paragraph.

I am searching for a way to set a default HTML email template that will be used for all notifications, where the content added in the seperate notification is placed in the template in the appropriate placeholder.

    Is this possible?T

    Thanks in advance!

    Jim

    Hi, Jim.

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    -

We are not able to reproduce the issue you described.

If we add some Custom HTML such as paragraphs, new lines and text in our Email Notifications,

all the content stays as we saved it - even if we switch to Text Mode.

And our Test customer receives the Email in the same format as we set in the HTML,

all the paragraphs stay on their own line, they do not wrap under same paragraph.

    Some screenshots :

And you can download my Test Video here, from weTransfer, if you wish.

Can you please send us a text file with the HTML that you are trying to use,

and we can try to replicate it - perhaps there is some specific formatting in the HTML that Amelia does not accept?

And if you could record a Video to show us how the issue looks on your end?

    2. In regards to setting a default HTML Email Template for all Notifications,

at the moment we do not have anything like that.

You can only set up a default template , for example, for all Services, for a specific Appointment Status,

such as setting a custom Email notification Template for all "Approved" appointments, or "Pending" etc.

But it is not possible to set one HTML template for all appointment Statuses, for example, if that is what you need.

You have to go in each Template and manually set up the HTML / or copy and paste the content as needed.

But it is an interesting idea for a future development.
