We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

Issue with Appointment Scheduling in Amelia

I am writing to bring to your attention a concern regarding the appointment scheduling feature in the Amelia extension for my website.

I have been using Amelia to create a calendar of appointments, allowing clients to book specific time slots based on the predetermined schedules defined for each service. However, I have noticed an issue with the functionality that allows administrators to create appointments outside the predefined time slots.

While using this feature, when the services have a duration of 1 hour, I have encountered a limitation where I am only able to select appointments at whole-hour intervals (e.g., 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM), which prevents me from setting appointments at more specific times like 10:45 AM or 10:30 AM. When the duration of the service is 1 hour and a half, it only allows me to create appointments at times such as 00:00 AM, 01:30 AM, 03:00 AM... not allowing me to choose the time I want.

This limitation restricts the flexibility and convenience of scheduling appointments, especially when accommodating clients' preferences or optimizing the use of available time slots.

I am unsure if this is an unintended error or a deliberate design limitation. Nonetheless, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with clarification on this matter. If it is an issue, I kindly request your assistance in resolving it or providing a workaround to allow for more precise appointment scheduling.

I believe that allowing administrators the freedom to schedule appointments at specific times outside the framework of defined service durations would greatly improve the usability and flexibility of your product.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

    Best regards,
    Gustavo Gonzalez

    Hello Gustavo,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

For this purpose, you need to disable the "Use service duration for booking a time slot" option on the Amelia/Settings/General page.

    Hope this helps you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Kind Regards,

    Uros Jovanovic
