We are having trouble using Amelia on our website. When using the events tab, we want to be able to search for events by using the search bar for venue names or using the name of the employees in charge of the event. Every time we use the search bar, it doesn't generate any results using the search terms we have chosen.
We need this function working, as it would save us a considerable amount of time when we need to search for events or duplicate an event to create a new one. We have to scroll endlessly through the date ranges to find the event we need.
We also tried to use the Calendar tab instead to see if this would be easier; however, when we click to filter by venue or if we click an employee name, the filters don't appear to work. All the events remain showing, meaning we are still having to scroll and spend time manually searching. Also, when we do find an event we need in Calendar view, if we click duplicate, nothing happens.
With how frequently we need to do this, it's adding a lot of unnecessary time to basic tasks.
I'm wondering if a bug on Amelia is causing this, as it seems strange not to be able to effectively use the search bar or use filters on the tool. Please can you look into this and get back to me as soon as possible?
The "Search" feature of Events Calendar form works fine when searching for event names (check out the included screen recording). Searching for staff (employee) names is not yet included but we will work on it in the future.
At the moment, the Events List form doesn't include the Search form but we will be redesigning it soon, so I hope it will be included in the near future.
The Events Calendar form, however, looks 3 months ahead, so if you're using the Search field to look for events that will be happening further along in the future, they won't be found. For example, if I add an event that is going to be held on August 31st, I won't be able to use the Search field until I switch to the month of June.
I did test the back end of Events and found that the search doesn't appear to be working correctly. Were you referring to that? It will be forwarded to our developers so they can fix it as soon as possible.
The filter on the Events Calendar works on our end when we filter per employee, but please note that the employee needs to be added as "Staff" in the event in order to appear in the filter:
Thank you for your reply. I probably should have mentioned we are using WordPress with Amelia, therefore our search function does not appear the same way as your screen recording does.
Please see below for the event view I was referring to. The 'search events' bar doesn't work for us, we can't search via the title of the event or the staff member.
Below is the calendar view we referred to. We are unable to filter by the locations drop-down, and when we click an employee, it also doesn't filter, it just brings up every employee.
Also, when using the tool in Calendar view, if we find the event we want to duplicate, we open it, then we click duplicate, then nothing happens. It doesn't duplicate the event it just closes it down.
I hope this provides some more clarity on our issues.
We're aware of the search issue with the Events in the back-end, and our developers are working on fixing it, so it should be included in our upcoming update.
I'm unable to replicate the "Location" filter issue in the Calendar section, though. When I filter per location, only the appointments on that location are displayed. Can you please record your screen showing me how it works for you?
The employee filter and the duplicate function also work without issues for me, so maybe it'd be a good approach if you could provide me with a temporary wp-admin (Administrator) user so that I can take a look.
Please note that this is a public ticket, so make sure to post a PRIVATE response.

The calendar is also facing some issues, so I'll forward your screen recording to our developers so they can check if these issues are already logged or if they need to log them and fix them for the future.
