I have used Amelia a hundred times and never had an issued but with this client, she says she's not getting emails or text notifications (I have purchases text notifications)
When I send a test email to myself and a test text message I receive it but she says she isn't. I have asked her to check junk and she says there are no emails there either.
I have searched every forum I can find but I can't find the solution. Have you got any ideas where I should start with this one?
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your hosting provider is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website, and see what's going on.
Thank you for your reply and I can confirm the website has Version 8 PHP and client isn't using gmail.
Not sure what you mean about the credentials being correct and the client uses Yahoo for her emails and I have no idea how to find out if they allow third party.
When I send a test email and text, both work and I have changed the employee phone number to my own and I get a text message when a booking is made. When the client's phone number was there, she didn't receive a text, so it would appear it's not just emails.
I'm really stumped. Does any of that info help? And THANK YOU so much for helping me get this sorted.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
For this purpose, I would suggest that you set up notifications through SMTP. Please check the following article on this and let me know if this worked for you.
