Can your plugin handle bus schedules as shown on the above-referenced URL? Even better, can it build the responsive table from a CSV?

    Hi, Mark.

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Yes, you can easily make tables like this in our Plugin, if you can create the source data for it.

Can you tell us where is the source data going to be coming from,
is someone manually going to be updating the values for a CSV,
or perhaps there is a live API, something like that?

For working with CSV in our plugin,

There are two ways how you can use CSV with our tables :

    1. Create a table linked to CSV.

    -

If you choose file location "from WordPress Library" ( default) :

Linked CSV files are stored in wp-content/uploads/YEAR/MONTH/ folder, and you would need to replace the file in there, not making any changes to the filename or its structure, so only the data within the cells needs to be changed or updated.

    -

If you choose file location as "URL from any domain" Creating a table linked to a CSV file by providing its URL is pretty much the same as it is for creating a table by uploading a CSV file. The only difference is that you would choose the URL from any domain option instead of the WordPress Media Library option under File location when creating the table.

    2. If you import the file, the plugin reads the source file and creates a manual table

Once the table is created, it is no longer linked to the source file, so changing data in the table will not show up in Excel or Google Spreadsheet, and vice-versa.

To modify this table, you can either switch to the Excel-like view

and then select and copy the range of cells you want to paste from the source file, and paste it in the Excel-like view,

or you can import a new/edited CSV to update the table, as well, in the following ways :

    In regards to responsive design,

please check this documentation with an example.

And i just wanted to point out that you can try wpDataTables before purchasing

on our sandbox Demo sites ( you can find links for the main plugin Demo,

as well as add-on Demos, in my signature),

and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period,

so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period. ( same goes for all plugins and add-ons)

Let me know if you have any additional questions. smile.png
