I have set min/max bookings values to zero, but the process still asks me to choose a date. I am trying to use this as a voucher purchase process, so don't want them to have to choose a date.
They can buy the package without making any booking, but as soon as they try to book an appointment they have to choose the time slot. Can you please send us the exact link to packages? We have tried several services on your site but none of them offers packages as far as we can see.
Also, make sure that you are using the latest version which is 6.2.3.
So - if you pick the VOUCHER option, then, as with all other courses, you click the CONTINUE button, you see the date picker. BUT, if you click on the box, with the wording in it, you goto the address field, bypassing the date picker.
How is that supposed to make sense from a UX perspective.
How, can i make the CONTINUE button perform the same task?
When you create a package and you set that customers do not need to book any appointment now they can skip the date and time section since no booking is required now.
When you offer only service and not a package the date and time section can not be skipped.
Amelia is a booking plugin and the customer must choose a date and time in the booking process in order to be able to book an appointment. You can not skip this section. This is how it is designed.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
There is a logic because if they click on service and then on continue they are only booking one appointment for that service and in that case they need to book an appointment as we have explained earlier.
But when they click on a package
Then in that case they do not have to choose the date and time since you set it to zero
With all due respect, it makes perfect sense. You have the option to book an appointment/service and then, since Amelia is a booking plugin, you have to choose the day and time for that appointment.
When you have a package below, it says available in the package which mean that a customer can choose and buy a package and when they choose the package, they don't have to book the time and date if you set it that way because it's a package.
You certainly have the option to show only the package without service and then they won't have to choose the date and time right away.
Amelia is not designed for vouchers but for appointments, but we hope you will find what you are looking for.

I have added a package and followed instructions.

I have placed a Service into a package.
I have then tested it.
When booking, you have the option to click on the large CONTINUE button, OR on the actual title block detailing the course info.
If you click the CONTINUE button, you are taken to a date picker whereas if you click on the title block you bypass the date.
There is no logic to this from a uX perspecitve as the user is not expecting to click on anything but the CONTINUE button.
Why are there not 2 buttons saying, BOOK DATE or PAY ONLY.
The user then know what's coming

I understood how the layout worked before, but it makes no sense to the end user, without them studying the interface which is FRICTION.
As a user, I don't want to make one mistake and need a smooth transition, from selection the product to being lead to the outcome/payment.
When someone buys a voucher, they are buying just that, and not expecting to pick a date right now.
I don't think your system works in this way, so we'll leave it for now and see what options i can find.
