Payment link

When you say Payment via link and refer to a link sent by email or placed on the customer panel, what type of link is it? We use Stripe in Amelia and elsewhere on the site. For one set of products we use Stripe Checkout by link (outside of Amelia).  That will take the buyer to Stripes Checkout and a predefined set of services that was defined by us in our Stripe account. This is what I think of when I read "Stripe Link payment".

However what you are referring to in Amelia seems to be something different. Also we have not managed to try the link since we have not managed to get the Amelia style Stripe links to work. We have followed the instructions and made sure new placeholders for the link is present in all relevant messages.

Can you please provide a better description of what the stripe link is and maybe a guess on what the error may be that prohibit the links to work ( we still only see the default card payment fields at checkout.

    Thank you!

    Hello Bjorn,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Allow your customers to pay via email notifications or through their Customer Panel, by enabling the option “Allow payment via Payment Link”. If you choose to allow customers to pay through email, for this option to work you need to add new payment link placeholders to the message templates. To view a detailed list of the placeholders that you can use please follow this link. Also, you can set a URL where customers will be redirected once the payment from the link is processed, by using the option “Redirect URL after Payment”. By default, this will be set to your main site URL, but you can change it according to your requirements.

If your default status is set to “Pending” you can use the option “Update Appointment Status” which will automatically change the appointment/event status to “Approved” after the payment from the link is processed.

In regard to your error, please provide me with the screenshots of how you set up payment links in Amelia.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Kind Regards,

    Uros Jovanovic

    Hi,

I've got a couple of things that does not work as expected when it comes to Amelias connection to stripe. Let's deal with the payment link in this ticket. I will open another one for the other problem.

Enclosed are the screenshots you asked for:

SC-1: shows that Stripe payment link is activated in Amelia Payment Settings.

SC-2: shows that stripe is activated in Amelia Payment Settings.

SC-3: Shows a test email sent from Amelia Notifications.

SC-4: Shows an email sent from Amelia after a payment via card went through.

SC-5: Shows the service settings. Stripe link is activated.

SC-6: Shows the payment option presented to the customer. Only stripe card is presented.

SC-7: Shows Amelia Step-by-step custom settings and what we are missing - an option to pay later by link.

If you see anything obvious please tell me.

Oh, sorry it's only possible to upload 4 images. Last 3 will be in the next message.

    /B

    Hello Bjorn,

Tank you for the update on this.

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Kind Regards,

I would prefer if we could solve this another way.

Can you help me by explaining how %payment_link_stripe% is defined?

  • Bjorn replied

Hello again, can you please provide a screenshot over where the %payment_link_stripe% is to be defined? As well as a screenshot of the customers payment gateway when a payment is being made using the %payment_link_stripe%.

    Thanks!

    Hello Bjorn,

If you have enabled the payment links for the specific service as well as the Stripe payment method for that specific service, the payment link placeholder will be configured by default.

Does it not work from your end like that?

    Looking forward to your reply.
