Hi there, I am setting up a booking system for a client. Using Amelia for the first time.

My client is a skydiving non-profit company and they have 2 requirements that I am unsure how to go about setting up in Amelia.

Requirement #1: They need to be able to add a custom field into the booking system asking a customer their weight. If they are over 250 lbs they will NOT be able to continue booking for safety reasons. Is this something that can be done?

Requirement #2: Their schedule is constantly changing and will NEVER be consistent Monday - Sunday hours... They will need to update the calendar almost daily BUT ALSO depending on how many employees (instructors) are available to work that day - this will affect the number of appointments available for customers to book.

(ie: 1 employee = 4 bookings available that day - BUT - 2 employees = 8 bookings available that day... and so on.)

What is the easiest way to set this up in the backend for a constantly changing schedule?

    Thank you!

    - Kianna

    Hello Kianna,

Requirement #1: They need to be able to add a custom field into the booking system asking a customer their weight. If they are over 250 lbs they will NOT be able to continue booking for safety reasons. Is this something that can be done? - You can ask this additional information with our custom fields. But unfortunately there is no option in Amelia that can forbid customers to book. The best option for this is to set status of appointments to pending and then you can review information that they have sent and based on that you accept or cancel the appointment.

This is the only option at this time for this case.

Requirement #2: Their schedule is constantly changing and will NEVER be consistent Monday - Sunday hours... They will need to update the calendar almost daily BUT ALSO depending on how many employees (instructors) are available to work that day - this will affect the number of appointments available for customers to book.

What is the easiest way to set this up in the backend for a constantly changing schedule? - Since each employee has unique schedule and it changes daily they need to create special days for each employee in employee/edit employee/special days.

We are aware that this will require a lot of manual work but this is a specific case and only in this way they can achieve this in Amelia.

If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Kind Regards,
