Is it possible to make a similar multi-selection field like the one in gravity forms which i find very good like this:
Is it also possible to limit the amount of choices in a multi select field in wpdatatables? I want the min choices to be 2 and the max limit=3.
If not, maybe it can be an idea for improvement, I think the multiselect option is a bit hard to use and could be improved if you let max/min choices in it and also creating buttons around the strings like in gravity forms for better user experience, especially on mobile if you have a long list of values
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

I am not sure what you mean exactly for this use-case.
It would look like this when you set up a column for editing in our plugin.
For example, for one of our possible editor types, we have the multi value selectbox available.
Here is my example, if i add a new column to any table, and set it up for editing as a multi-line selectbox;
i am able to set the Possible values for this column,
change it from "Read From Table on page load" to "Define values list".
As the tooltip explains, this can allow you to predefine multiple possible editing/filtering values for this column.
So if i add these values as on your example, if a user goes to my table to add a new row, or edit row,
he can choose from these values.
If i select these two, they will be set in a new cell for that field divided by a comma.
But, something like this is not possible for Gravity Tables ( tables connected to Gravity Forms with our integration),
it is only possible for SQL based Tables, such as Manual and SQL Query Based tables.
In Gravity Forms, it is not possible to predefine the possible values for fields,
you will have to set this up in the source Gravity Form itself.

Let me know if i misunderstood the use-case.
2. For the second question,
is it possible to limit the amount of choices in a multi select field in wpdatatables? I want the min choices to be 2 and the max limit=3.
- Sorry to disappoint you, but we currently do not have anything like that.
You can set up a multi value selectbox for editing and filtering;
for filtering you have an additional option for a checkbox,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
