We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Is it possible to make the wpDataTables search more sophisticated, such as using quotation marks to require an exact phrase or other Boolean search capabilities such as AND and OR?
Hi, Randy.
If i understood, you would like to have this for the global Table Search block?
For the Table Search itself, we do not have this yet, but it is a good idea for a future option.
Please feel free to search on our suggestions page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
-
For the advanced column filtering though, we have added "Exact filtering" option.
-
If you use a Foreign Key Relation Column -
in that case, Exact filtering will be enabled always for columns made to pull foreign key values.
You might try this as a workaround, and see how it behaves for Table Search, but i am not sure if that will help for your specific use-case.
-
In regards to AND and OR filtering, in the Column Filtering options;
With Multiselectbox and Checkbox filters, you can enable the AND filtering logic.
wpDataTables uses the OR logic by default, so the results need to match only one of the selected conditions, while the AND logic filters the data and the results must match all of the selected examples.
Please note: The AND logic is also available in the Powerful Filters add-on.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
