Missing checkbox option or false advertisement

I have been looking for a checkbox/select box option to select rows as advertised here:
Great Examples of Data Tables Presented on Websites (wpdatatables.com)

However, all I have found are forum discussions in which you answer that it's unavailable.

The option is essential when having customers interact with tables. Is it available somewhere, or do your blog posts contain false advertisements?

    Hi, Thobias.

Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Our apologies if this seems like false advertisement, but i just went through this Post

and we do not claim that we have a checkbox to select multiple rows anywhere as a feature or option.

Please let me know if you find any statement where we claim that this feature is possible with our plugin.

    -

But that being said, i can completely understand that some of these screenshot examples can confuse users, since some of them do present data with that checkbox in the first column ( some of these are not made by our plugin, but are just examples from other sites/applications)

Here are some screenshots to point out what i mean by that :

I believe that these are just examples of source data, such as for example, orders from WooCommerce and similar 3rd Party applications showing the initial data, that has these checkmarks next to rows.

We will double-check with our 2nd level Team and management,

and will do our best to modify this blog Post to clarify/indicate on these examples which ones are not from our plugin.

In our plugin you can only select multiple rows if you have a Manual Table and use our Excel-Like Editor.

And in our Simple Tables, you can also select multiple rows, but that's about it.

    - In regards to examples made by our plugin on the Post in question, check where it says "DataTable" or "DataTables" above the example,

such as this one that is named "DataTables JSON sample using Material Design", this is definitely one of our tables :

    "

So, to answer your main question, i can certainly confirm we currently do not have any way to achieve a checkbox/selectbox column which can allow users to select multiple rows and then "do an action with them".

You can make a development suggestion and our devs will do their best to work on adding that feature soon.

We can't promise a realistic ETA on it, though.

Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi, Thobias.

My apologies, i should have known this right away, somehow i missed it as well.

Just got confirmations from our 2nd level Team about everything about this Post.

    -

Basically, as the Title says , these are examples from Data Tables presented on Web Sites,

it does not say "wpDataTables", so some of the examples are not made by our plugin.

    -

    1. You can see under the examples made from our plugin, it will indicate "Filters from a product comparison table created with wpDataTables".

    2. And for the examples from other sources,

under a lot of screenshots there is "image source" hyperlink, which you can check to see where that example came from.

There is also one of them that says : "This CSS3 table is free and easy to use. It is also customizable."

    -

So, we can safely confirm that there is no false advertisement there.

Let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
