We are running a healing center, where we have 8 chairs in a room where you can regain your body-energy, just by sitting in the chairs being in that space.

People can book a session for 2, 3 or 4 hours.

how can I set up Amelia idealy, for the following practice ?

    1. people can book for themselves, but can also bring others (this can be done by the "bring someone" option in the service.
    2. do I need to add 8 fantasy employees? (actually we do not need employees, just sitting in the chairs is how it is done)
    3. If I use 1 fantasy employee, time slots get blocked when we try to book different length sessions next to eacht other ("customers can not "jump in" with different time lengths)
    4. is the solution to add "resource" CHAIR with the counter on 8, that is being shared by services? So then you would have 8 fantasy employees, and 8 chairs that are shared by the 3 services (2, 3, 4 hours)?

    What is your suggestion?

Is it possible to speak to someone about this matter and how to approach this? Would be very helpfull.

I am working in the Netherlands, so time zone UTC+1

Hope you can help me sort this out perfectly, thanks!

    Hello Rene,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1. people can book for themselves, but can also bring others (this can be done by the "bring someone" option in the service. - Yes, this is how you can achieve this
    2. do I need to add 8 fantasy employees? (actually we do not need employees, just sitting in the chairs is how it is done) - Amelia's services can not function without employee but you can set this service as a group appointment that has a maximum capacity of 8. You can see this is services/edis service
    3. If I use 1 fantasy employee, time slots get blocked when we try to book different length sessions next to eacht other ("customers can not "jump in" with different time lengths) - When appoitnemtn starts no one else can book that time slot. In this case scenario it would best to create 8 different employees for each chair and then you can hide theemployee choice in customize section like this

    4. is the solution to add "resource" CHAIR with the counter on 8, that is being shared by services? So then you would have 8 fantasy employees, and 8 chairs that are shared by the 3 services (2, 3, 4 hours)? - No, this is for when you have more employee the seat that you offer. Then you create resources. In your case if you have for example 30 services that you want to offer at the same time you need to create 30 employees and then since you do not need them you can hide the employee choice on the booking form.

Is it possible to speak to someone about this matter and how to approach this? Would be very helpfull. - We provide support only via tickets and you can ask us anything that you like but you need to open a separate ticket for each question.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

I still have a problem, even when I define 8 "employees"...

When 1 customer books for 1 service than it works fine, but is there a way that 1 customer can book for more persons and that more "employees" get allocated also.

Now it seems the only way to do that is making a group service, but then you only allocate 1 "employee".

how can this be done so more "employees" get allocated?

    Hello Rene,

Only one employee can be added to one appointment, unfortunately, you can not have several employees added to one appointment at this time.

I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this link https://features.wpamelia.com/

Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.
