1. If you mean to somehow "convert" / or "transform" so that in places where the comma is,
to make a new line from that;
unfortunately, we do not have any current solution for that.
Maybe it could be done with custom work/custom coding,
but our support is not able to provide that.
-
You can make a suggestion for our developers, but i am honestly not sure if something like that might be possible, they will certainly do their best to add that in the future.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
2. Or, if you just meant to ask how you can make new lines when editing data in Gravity Tables;
this depends how you configure the source field coming from Gravity.
It the field is a "Single line Text", then it is not possible to make any new line from this column.
If you make a "paragraph" field in the Form,
then you can edit that column in our plugin, and by pressing ENTER, you can make new lines.
-
So, for example if a user submits these values with commas in same line,
you can later go in to edit the table and make new lines with ENTER.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Yes. Our plugin wpDataTables is different from Gravity Forms,
it is not possible to make new lines from 'comma',
or to render this kind of "bullet point list" formatting from the source data in our tables.
-
I am not able to make the behaviour as your described it in the Gravity Form, too, though.
If i make a new Form, and for example choose a "list" field,
if a user on front-end uses a "comma", it does not make new lines.
Only if i go later to view the submissions, by going to the Gravity Forms plugin, and going to the "Entries" tab;
there i can see the format as you described, with a bullet point list separating each submission :
But this is not how our plugin processes the data, it just takes the cell values, it can not pass them as bullet point list like this.
-
In our plugin for dataTables, If you need to have something like a "bullet list" in our tables, the source data must be formatted in a certain way.
-
If we need to make a bullet list in our tables,
a workaround can be done by using Custom HTML - our String Cells can render almost any HTML,
so for example if you wish to try with an unordered list,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

Hello,
I am wondering if there could be a way to change it so that instead of commas, the words would be on a new line like:
Base Damage
Critical Chance
Multishot
Now it looks like this (see picture)
Base Damage,Critical Chance,Multishot.
I am using gravity forms integration to integrate the data in the wpdatable.

This is how it looks when someone is using gravity forms
But it's not possible when this variable is integrated with wpdatatables that is will get the same type of structure like the image above?

At the moment, that is the best workaround i can think of,
and in the future we will do our best to come up with better solutions for this use-case.
