We're still on WPDT v4.3 due to an old custom script that we don't have the expertise to update right now.
We tried upgrading Master-Detail to v1.3.5 recently and found that the 'Master-Details Settings' tab in the tables page went missing. It appeared again after we downgraded Master-Detail back to v1.3.2.
I am able to reproduce this on my local Test site, if i downgrade wpDataTables to 4.3 , then the latest Master Details add-on 1.3.5 does not cooperate/does not show up in table settings.
We will check with our QA Team to confirm this - it seems that at some point our version of Master Details needs a newer wpDataTables version to function.
As soon as we confirm these versions we will report back right away.

the latest Master Details version 1.3.5 is no longer compatible with the older wpDataTables 4.3 version.

Our developers could try to fix the compatibility for 4.3 wpDataTables,
but since you have customized the plugin, and you are the only user that reported this,
our developers are not able to debug the issue on your site.
They can only work on debugging issues with the default plugin / that does not have any custom modifications added to the code.
We are truly sorry for this inconvenience.
