I have created a table view call 'join'. In phpmyadmin I can table search on charity_name and filter values. But in a-tables I can successfully generate the table with the same fields, but I can't filter - it returns no records.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
I believe the issue comes from our SQL Parser not being able to properly filter when you have a dot as part of the table name in the Query.
Our PHP SQL parser we use sees the dot as a separator table.column,
so if the table name is "string1.string2" it will see "string1" as the table, and "string2" as the column.
The data would return correctly, but filtering will not work.
So, try to simply remove the DB prefix from this table, and just leave the Query like
SELECT * FROM join
See if this brings the filtering to work?
