Placeholder override is not working.
I use SQL only, no other data source.
The generated table always uses the default for %VAR1%, not the value in the shortcode.
I have deactivated all plugins except wpdatatables, no joy
I have attached your system dump, the select statement used in the table, and the html code on the webpage.
This is occuring for two tables (one is a single cell, the other a complete table).
Thank you,
Larry
Anyone home?
Hi, Larry.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

The issue is in the syntax of your Table Shortcode.
In the SQL Query everything seems OK,
just in the shortcode, please remove the percentage symbols, and just use the VAR1 like this format :
[wpdatatable id=15 var1=4]
Let me know if that works.
It works on my test tables.
I set the default VAR value initially as "1", but then through the shortcode, it is successfully changed to 2 in the front-end table.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
