I need a manager role for Amelia that will allow an employee to see all events and registrants. There is no option to assign such a role to an employee in Amelia. I can see the Amelia Manager role in WordPress Users, but it has no additional permissions for the employee as far as I can tell. How can I give certain employees manager-level access without making them a WordPress administrator?
Please note that it is not recommended to mix users and roles, so please do not assign any additional user roles to Administrator accounts. Also, we do not recommend adding multiple user roles of Amelia to a single user (Amelia Manager and Amelia Employee, for example). Roles have their own capabilities and if you combine them, the plugin will run into a conflict it can't resolve (a paradox, so to speak).
Thanks for the response, but it does not address my concern.

When I assign the Ameila Manager role, the person who has been assigned the role is not able to see events other than the events they are a part of. What is the purpose of a manager role that cannot see and mange the employees events?
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.

I updated the plugin. I still have the same issue. Assigning the Amelia Manager role in WordPress does not allow the person with that role to see any events except the one that they are a part of. A manager needs to have access to all events, not just the events they enrolled in or created.
Unfortunately, this is caused by the permission conflict between the Amelia manager and employee roles and it cannot work any differently at the moment. The user will either have to be a manager or the employee.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
1. To work around this conflict I need to remove the user as an "employee" in Amelia and add the role of Amelia Manager role to their WordPress account. Is that correct?
I have a similar issue with the Manager Role. At this point, it seems to be useless as I dont see a manager option inside Amelia to create Amelia Managers. It is only available in WP.
I also work the solution that Maverick used but it doesn't seem to work. Can you please tell me if you have a work around? I have an employee who is staff but also want her to do the task of appointments and events management - Create, edit and delete events for other staff. How can I make this work without making the employee and administrator?
As this is not a solution provided by us, we cannot assure you that the user having two roles will work as it causes a conflict between role permissions.
At the moment, other than the solution Maverick provided, we do not have a workaround for this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello? Can I get a response. Even "I'm working on it" would be nice.

Thank you for the update on this and for your patience.
Could you please prove me with the manager access so I can perform checks and provide you with an update on this as soon as possible?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Uroš,
You now have Amelia Manager role in our WordPress.
Thanks for your help,
Maverick
Hello Maverick,
Here is the list of the events that I can see in this period of time (February 27, 2023 - June 11, 2023):
Are there any other events in this time period?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Uroš,
I have a couple of questions.
1. To work around this conflict I need to remove the user as an "employee" in Amelia and add the role of Amelia Manager role to their WordPress account. Is that correct?
2. Are there plans to fix this issue in Amelia?
Thanks,
Maverick
Hello Maverick,
1. Yes, you can do that, but you will not be able to access the employee panel after you do that.
2. We have a plan to resolve this in the future, but there is no ETA on this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Uroš,
I found a work-around. Or maybe it is the proper procedure.
First create a user in WordPress with the Amelia Manager role.
Then create the user as an employee in Amelia.
The user (employee) can then sign into the employee portal and see all events.
Thanks for sticking with me through this issue. You can close this ticket.
