Which is great because we already have that, unfortunately you didn't tell me HOW to do that. Simply enabling cascading filters doesn't do that. Please provide explicit directions.
Firstly, my apology for the waiting time on this reply. We had our Orthodox Easter holiday break which increased the delay. Thank you very much for your patience.

Actually, on this Documentation which i sent, you can see an example explained with a small Demo how it works.
Search button, hide table Making search work on ``Search`` button click, hiding the table before a selection is made in the filter
On the right side you will see detailed instructions what each of these options mean and what they do,
then, depending on your use-case ( if you want to "force" the user to choose all the filters before they can get the "search" button or maybe you do not wish to do that);
In the Demo table beneath this section, you can see how it works,
Play around with the filters in the following table to understand how the “Hide table” and “Search button” features work.
The main two steps are enabling in the table setting/Sorting and Filtering;
you have to first enable Cascade Filtering;
then enable to show Filters in a Form, and you will see the new option "Hide table before Filtering".
You can check this example table in our Powerful Filters Sandbox, and experiment with the settings on the back-end if you wish, then you can apply same settings to your tables.
Important to note, this will not work if you try with Simple Tables, by any chance;
Simple Tables can not have any filtering - it only works for all other dataTable types.
I want to hide the entire table until a search is made, is that possible? How?
Hi, Patrick.
Yes, you can achieve this with our add-on Powerful Filters.
It has this feature " Hide Table" and the "Search button".
Please check more here.
Before purchase, you can test the Add-on features on our sandbox site.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
