I want to instal the new Version 6.2.2. Two questions:
1. When I click on 'deactivate' in the plugin section of wordpress, I get a question: "delete tables, roles, files and settings once the Amelia plugin is uninstalled." >> should I cross this box yes or no? I do not want to lose all my data.
2. Is it possible to update automatically without me having to re-intstall every update?
1. No you do not need to delete anything since this will delete your data.
You can download Amelia from your profile in our store.
We are sending you a short instruction on how to update Amelia to the latest version.
Go to Amelia Settings/Activation, and make sure that the "Delete Amelia content" slider is disabled.
Then, go to your Plugins section and deactivate the plugin. If you're using WordPress 5.8+, you'll be able to go to the Plugins section/Add New, and upload the file you previously downloaded.
When you upload the file, WordPress will inform you that you're replacing the plugin with the new version, so just confirm that. After the plugin is installed, activate it, and make sure to purge all cache from your website.
Also, Amelia had an automatic update option but this depends on your site and your WordPress settings. If you enable in WordPress that you can automatically update the pšlugin that plugins can be updated with one click. But this is entirely up to you and your WprdŠPress settings.
Hope this helps.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
