    Hello everyone,

I have the Pro version of Amelia Booking, and I'm having some trouble configuring it to meet my specific needs. I offer 3 different excursion time slots that each last 5 hours (8am to 1pm, 1:30pm to 6:30pm, and 7pm to midnight), with a 30-minute buffer time in between each slot. Additionally, I offer a full-day slot from 10am to 6pm, but if that slot is booked, the first two slots should become unavailable. Similarly, if the morning or afternoon slot is booked, the full-day slot should become unavailable.

Furthermore, I would like to ensure that only one employee can perform all 3 slots if they are requested, including the full-day and night-time slots.

I'm not quite sure how to set this up properly in Amelia Booking, and I was hoping someone could offer me some guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Hello aberdane,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia.

You can't set that up in Amelia because your service lasts 5 hours from 8 to 1 and you want to insert a full-day service that starts at 10, that would cut the time of the first service that starts at 8 and it wouldn't be able to be booked.

You cannot set what you want in Amelia that way.
Maybe there is a workaround that we can offer you, and for that, you should have 2 employees, one who works on 5-hour services and one who works on full-day services.

If you connect both Employees to the same Google Calendar, then in case there's a booking for let's say 10 am with Employee A, then the same time slot at 10 am will be unavailable for further bookings with Employee B as well.

They will have to work in "fixed" pairs.

    Hope this helps.

If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.

We wish you all the best.

    Have a nice day.

    Kind Regards,

    Hello Marko,

    Thank you for your answer.

That’s not really what i would like to do..

I would have liked employee A to be able to work on the first 8 a.m. slot at 1 p.m. and also continue on the afternoon slot from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  But if someone wanted to book the full day slot from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., it must be unavailable.  Even if the full day slot is booked first.  The other two slots of the day must be unavailable.

For that, I think it would have been necessary that on the working hours of the employee, I could add a time slot that overlaps the two other existing slots, but that is impossible.  Or perhaps add availability rules.

    Thank you

    Hello aberdane,

What you want to set is not possible but with our workaround, this should be possible. And when you connect them to Google or Outlook calendar you should be able to achieve what you want. And it should work in a way that you want to work.

    Hello aberdane,

That is fantastic news, and we are glad that we were able to help you.

My apologies if I already asked this before, but may I ask you for a small favor if you don’t mind?

There are a few places with reviews about plugins that really matter to our future customers.

It'd be awesome if you could leave a review on all three websites, but I know that may be too much to ask, so can you, please, leave a review at least on one of these websites:

If you have a couple of minutes, we would really appreciate it! No need to write any specific text.

As a token of our appreciation, we would like to offer you a $10 SMS credit for each review as long as you provide us with the link to your review or a screenshot (Capterra, for example, goes through a verification process and it takes a day or two before the review is visible).

    Thanks in advance!

    Looking forward to your reply.
