I hope you're doing well. I wanted to bring your attention to an issue we've encountered with the payment link feature. Overall, the feature works well, but there's a specific scenario where it requires a small adjustment.
When a customer makes a payment using the payment link or through the customer panel and then an employee modifies the service to add an extra service (resulting in a change in the total price), the customer is unable to pay the difference in price using the link. Instead, the current link requires the customer to repay the entire amount, which is not the intended behavior.
To address this issue, it's necessary to update the application logic to take into consideration the amount previously paid by the customer when calculating the outstanding balance. This way, the payment link will reflect the correct amount the customer needs to pay to cover the difference in price due to the modifications in their service.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I'm confident that this adjustment will enhance the overall user experience for both customers and employees. Please let me know if you need any further information or clarification regarding this issue.
Thank you for your prompt response. I apologize if my initial email was not clear enough. To answer your question, I am referring to a situation where a customer has already booked an appointment and made a payment using the payment link. After the booking and payment, an employee modifies the service by adding an extra, which results in a change in the total price.
In this scenario, the customer should be able to pay the difference in price using the same payment link. However, the current link requires the customer to repay the entire amount, which is not the intended behavior.
I hope this clarifies the issue. If you need any further information or details, please let me know.
Thank you for clearing that up. I will have this passed to our developers and hope that it will be implemented in the way that you mentioned in the future.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
