I'm so far following but I'm stuck after creating the hidden field in Forminator and adding it to the wpDataTables. After clicking on the column settings for the hidden1, the "Filtering" option doesn't seem to be shown as an option. Is it because I didn't submit a couple of submissions with including User ID 1 and User ID 11?
My apologies! I forgot to mention that I've recently just bought the premium version of the plugin! Here's a screenshot of what I'm looking at where the "Filtering" option does not appear in the settings of "hidden1"
For some reason, when I make submissions with different users, the hidden field doesn't show any "User ID" number. I've already set the hidden field's value as User ID in Forminator and I can't seem to get a fix around it. I've been following your given instructions but so far this is what I'm struggling with. Is there anything I'm missing?
looking at your description, if you added a hidden field in the Form to pull the user ID number, from each user that makes submissions, it should work.
Can i take a look at the back-end of this source Form and the table?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I've managed to get the same result by adding First and Last name Placeholders to the Advanced Filters of the First and Last name columns so that every time a User of that registered First and Last name logs in, the table filters only to their submission.
You've helped me understand a lot more about how the filters work on the plugin so I thank you for that!
Though I'm still not getting any "User ID" data on the hidden1 field so I stopped using it. Maybe in the near future when I need your expertise again I'll be approaching you! Or by then the plugin has a better system for such function :)
Hello, Milos.
Appreciate the response!

Hi, Jay.
You're welcome , i am happy to advise.
Maybe i did not point out this important detail well enough.
If i understand, you are currently using our Lite Version of wpDataTables?
If that is the case - unfortunately you will not have Column Filtering option available.
The Advanced Column Filters are only available in the Premium wpDataTables.
So, to follow my workaround example you would need to switch to the full wpDatatables Version.
Let me know if that makes sense.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hello Milos,
I found out why I couldn't see it on my settings! It's because I didn't Enable Advanced Column Filters!
I will proceed with the steps that you have provided and will get back to you if I come across any challenges!
Thank you!

Hi, Jay.
No problem, i am happy to advise.
Yes, to be honest, for some specific Form Plugins i also had issues to correctly get the auto-populate user ID field,
but that was an issue from the Form itself, not from our plugin.
Some Form plugins have an easy way to get auto-populate the user ID of the person filling out a submission,
while others don't work as well.
You can try to view the source Form and see if it is properly populating these fields,
maybe that can help to isolate the issue.
But if you find that a Form is properly populating the user ID - but just our plugin's table is not pulling it correctly,
we can take a closer look if needed at any time - we will just need remote access with an Admin user.
-
But a workaround can be to use other Fields, like the "username" field,
or as you did here "first name ", "last name" , which can be used as a workaround,
so that was good thinking, well done.
It's not a problem at all, you can always open new/multiple tickets and we will do our best to advise.
Our policy is to keep one subject per each ticket, which makes the support more effective.
Thanks again.
