I am working through modifying some of the email notification templates and running into a few issues including:
1. Not compatible with emojis (not a huge issue but an observation)
2. HTML tags being stripped from 'HTML Mode' after successful save of template. Resulting in different formatting than expected. This is happening using very basic and standard HTML.
3.My main issue - I am trying to incorporate conditional logic into the email that will exclude certain parameters if they do not have assigned values. This doesn't seem to be supported and I am wondering if there are any other suggestions to exclude fields (NOTES, DEPOSIT) based on N/A or null values (i.e.):
Appointment Details:
Booking Reference: %appointment_id%
Customer Name: %customer_full_name%
Service Type: %service_name%
Service Date and Time: %appointment_date_time% (%time_zone%)
We just got the feedback from our colleagues and they have told us that, unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. And this is done by the library that we're using. It's happening when you change anything in the Quill Editor it reformats the code.
Our developers told me that at the moment, there doesn't seem to be a solution for this but that they will look into adding some settings that will let you choose the mode that needs to be applied, so you wouldn't be able to switch the editors in the modal itself. They will need to dedicate some time here because even if they add the setting, as long as the Quill Editor is enabled, as soon as a single character is changed, the entire HTML will be reformatted.
Keep it on the HTML editor and leave it there without editing on the Quill Editor.
If you have any more questions please open a new separate ticket for each question and we will gladly help you there.
